•  Jingle Bell rock è frutto della collaborazione 
   tra un addetto alle pubbliche relazioni, Joe 
   Beal, e uno scrittore americano specializzato 
   in marketing, Jim Boothe.
      Già nel titolo si fa chiaro riferimento ad
   un'altra canzone natalizia, celebre, Jingle 
   Bells, brano musicale che si può udire 
   all'inizio di Jingle Bell rock in cui un riff
   fa risuonare il ritornello della già conosciuta 
  Jingle Bells. Ma altri riferimenti musicali sono sparsi in tutto il brano come: "Rock 
  around the clock", "Jingle hop".
  
  Il brano è un rockabilly ballabile ed è, grazie al suo sound allegro, uno dei più suonati
  durante le festività natalizie. Inoltre proprio per questa sua popolarità è presente 
  all'interno di molti films, uno fra tutti: Mamma, ho riperso l'aereo: mi sono smarrito a 
  New York (1992).
  
  L'interpretazione più nota è quella di Bobby Helms che fu il primo a cantarla nel 1957.
