   Zombie è considerato il maggior successo dei
   Cranberries, tratto dal secondo album della 
   band irlandese, No Need to Argue ha raggiunto
   la top 10 in 25  paesi e nel 1995 vinse l'MTV 
   Europe Awards come  migliore canzone dell'an-
   no. 
   La canzone composta nel 1993 dalla leader del 
   gruppo, Dolores O'Riordan, durante un concerto 
   in memoria di due ragazzi vittime, Jonathan 
  Ball e Tim Parry, di un attentato dell'IRA, a Warrington in Inghilterra.
      La canzone quindi ha un forte connotato politico-sociale ispirata dalla violenza
  che nei primi anni '90 insaguinava l'Irlanda del Nord.
  Sono infatti molti i riferimenti politici all'interno di essa come le citazioni nascoste 
  nel testo di alcune parole della canzone The Town I Loved so well che Phil Coulter 
  scrisse nel 1973 dedicandola alla sua città Derry sede della nota Bloody Sunday durante 
  la quale furono uccise 14 persone dalla truppe britanniche.
